Bordeaux is a smaller version of Paris. The architecture is the same. However, there are fewer musuems than Paris and Bordeaux is more for business like Atlanta. L’?cole des Beaux-Arts, the most prestigious art school in the world and many well known artists including Renoir and Monet attended this school, is located in Bordeaux. Of course I saw the building and thought, “hmmmm…I should apply there so that I can be in France!” Of course I’m joking,Replica Chanel, this school would be WAY TOOOOO hard for me to be accepted. LOL. I also saw the Grand Thé?tre, a well known theater in France. One of the MAJOR difference between Bordeaux and Paris is that there is NOBODY in Bordeaux. In other words, we do not see anybody walking outside unlike Paris where we see millions of people on the sidewalks. Why? It’s too hot to walk outside! Jean-Victor, Marie, and I just took a stroll around the city and survived through the hot weather.

When I first stepped on a small plantation, I immediately noticed a building that looked very familiar. It had ionic columns and a triangular pediment. The whole front reminded me of another famous building in United States, the White House. The White House was inspired by this building, and the White House is a neoclassical style, a style that revives from the Ancient Greek and Roman and the Renaissance. However, there was a nearly hemispherical dome, but slightly pointed, on this building. Thus, this building reminded me more of Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello. Thomas Jefferson’s architectural design was Palladian, a type of neoclassical style. The designer of the building, Villa Rotunda, was Andrea Palladio. Palladio was one of the most influential architect in the architecture history. Evidently, Monticello and many of the buildings in Washington D.C. were inspired by Palladio. The Villa Rotunda was located on the mainland, near Venice, and it was located in a slightly isolated area on a hill with a magnificent scenic view of gardens and green hills in all direction. It’s a suburban palace currently owned by Mario di Valmarana for recreated, parties, natural retreat and residential living. This building is made of brick, stucco, and wood, and with all these material combined, it’s called marmorino white. When I walked around the building, I noticed that every side is the same. This defines that this building is biaxially symmetrical. In other words, it’s radially symmetrical. This building is obviously from the Renaissance era as it has ionic columns and classical temple style staircases. It has mathematical precision and proportions, circles and squares, which is a trait of classicism. Palladio began sketching out ideas in 1540’s, and the construction began in 1566. The interior is magnificent as it has beautiful stuccos on the ceilings and Enlightenment Age look furniture. The furniture were gold with beautiful fabrics. The building as a whole was beautiful and was definitely an inspiration for many future buildings.

Palladio created numerous buildings throughout his life. He also created Villa Emo, a country home for the Emo family. It was built in 16th century. Like other Palladio’s architecture, this building is very simple, geometrical and rational. There are columns along with a pediment resting on the top of the columns at the front of the building. There is a ramp instead of stairway leading up to the porch. The wings on both sides, have rounded arcades. This shows a very geometrical order as the arcades have a half circle resting on top of the columns. This also shows rhythm in this architectural design. Geometry and rhythm is one of Palladio’s goals in his architectural design.

PS: found my original post about the Gut Brain.

Musicians can learn to perform with their whole body, that is to follow the flow of the music with their mind, using the brain, ears, body and their “gut”. Eventually we can learn to LIVE with our whole body – if we are willing to do the training: that is the whole premise of Zen training. The main obstacle is our own ego/brain that can get in the way by jealously guarding the self it has created. There is nothing to fear but fear itself, and there is nothing separating us from life itself but our own small selves…

More regarding THIS post:

To listen with a mind that flows freely is to listen with your whole body. I think I mentioned an NY Times article in this diary before, but I can’t find it right now. THIS will have to do:
In a groundbreaking New York Times story,Replica Chanel, Sandra Blakeslee disclosed that new scientific evidence is giving credence to the notion that the human body actually possesses two centers to process knowledge and dictate physical actions. Blakeslee reports: [Scientists say] that the body has two brains–the familiar one encased in the skull and a lesser known but vitally important one found in the human gut….The gut’s brain, known as the enteric nervous system, is located in sheaths of tissue lining the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, and colon. Considered a single entity, it is a network of neurons, neurotransmitters and proteins that zap messages between neurons, support cells like those found in the brain proper and a complex circuitry that enables it to act independently, learn, remember, and as the saying goes, produce gut feelings.

This is what happens when everybody is programmed to bow to the emperor all the time:

By Nikko Dizon

MANILA–Which should be given priority on the runway? A Lear jet taking off with President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on board or an incoming long haul Airbus 340 ferrying 231 passengers that is running low on fuel?

This was the question posed by an official of the Airline Operators Council (AOC) after a Gulf Air flight from Bahrain was reportedly denied landing at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) because Arroyo was using the runway for her flight to Davao City on Wednesday to stand as a wedding sponsor.

The AOC is also complaining about long queues at the departure immigration counters and a defective baggage facility that have delayed outbound flights.

“Even if the President’s plane was already taxiing but the pilot (of the other aircraft) declared he was low on fuel, the latter should have been allowed to land,” Leoncio Nakpil, replica PRADA, AOC chairman and Gulf Air security chief in Manila, told reporters.

It is, by all intents and purposes, already considered a “distress call” for an emergency landing, Nakpil said.

Nakpil said the Air Transportation Office (ATO) should explain why flight GF 154 was not allowed to land. It was also told that it was sixth in line for landing. (The Philippine Daily Inquirer tried but failed to reach ATO chief, Nilo Jatico, for comment on Sunday.

The pilot then decided to divert Flight GF 154 to the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA) at Clark Field in Pampanga. At this point, Nakpil said, GF 154 technically became a “missing plane” for 15 minutes,Fendi handbags, the time wherein the aircraft was repositioning for landing at the DMIA.

“I thought it was only delayed because of the presidential movement, until [retired] Gen. [Ange]) Atutubo [airport security chief] called me up asking where GF 154 was,Replica Chanel,” Nakpil said.

Soon after, Nakpil said, Gulf Air Manila received an “operations flash” from its headquarters in Bahrain that GF 154 had “diverted to the DMIA due to a presidential movement.” (An aircraft is equipped with a device that sends a signal to its headquarters on its location, Nakpil explained.)

“There was confusion. Nobody told us that the aircraft had diverted to Clark. Not even the MIAA (Manila International Airport Authority) knew the flight was diverted,” Nakpil said.

“It was tantamount to endangering the lives of all the passengers and crew. What if the plane lost fuel and crashed?” an irate Nakpil said.

“The pilot said the air traffic controller was actually very accommodating. But somewhere, somehow, his request was suddenly denied supposedly because the runway was closed for President Arroyo’s flight,” Nakpil said.

Arroyo left Wednesday afternoon on board the Lear jet for Davao to stand as one of the principal sponsors in the wedding of the son of House Majority Leader Prospero Nograles.

Landing at the DMIA for refueling and going back to the NAIA entailed Gulf Air having to file a new flight plan and also pay for landing fees, among other things to be done.

For protocol and security reasons, the NAIA runways are closed when there the President is arriving or leaving by air.

But Nakpil stressed that international aviation rules dictate that regardless of whether there is a VIP movement, emergency situations are also given priority.

“An aircraft running low on fuel is considered an emergency situation,” he said.

The airport runway is under the ATO’s jurisdiction.

Nevertheless, an MIAA official said the airport authority was investigating the incident.

Nakpil said that ideally, the presidential flight should have given way to the distressed aircraft.

The Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) is the first step towards your quest for a top MBA degree. MBA schools across the world i.e US, Canada, U.K, Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong, Europe and even India are now accepting GMAT scores as the most accurate indicator of your academic potential. Whereas top US schools always looked at GMAT very closely, even the top Asian schools such as NUS,hermes belts, Singapore,Replica Chanel, Asian Institute of Management (Manila) and ISB, Hyderabad require a high score on the GMAT apart from a strong application. An MBA degree from a top school does not only necessarily mean good employment prospects in the country where you graduated but is also your passport to enhanced career prospects across the world.
GMAT is a multiple choice questions test and has a duration of 3.5 hours. The three sections of the exam -verbal, quantitative and analytical writing assess the applicants on logic, reasoning, reading comprehension, writing and mathematical skills. The test is scored out of 800 and is administered across the World, including New Delhi, all year round. The GMAT score is valid for 5 years hence you could even take it in your 2nd or 3rd year of college while the academic pressure is not very high.

Universities across the world encourage students from different cultures and nationalities as this results in superior batch quality as well as cosmopolitan culture on the campus. This translates into welcome treatment for applications from Indian students. By the way, if you have not considered this option because you thought education abroad was only for the rich and affluent, then here are some facts to blow the myth: Most Indian students abroad are from middle class families. Almost all banks offer educational loans at competitive interest rates and require minimum paperwork. Hundreds of scholarships are available in universities abroad for meritorious students.

Now, what lies between you and your dream is a good GMAT score and expert guidance. And that is precisely where Jamboree comes in. Keep reading this column to know why we are the No. 1 in India when it comes to education abroad. We will telkes you what it takes to max the GMAT.

Those who want the look and feel of a designer handbag, but do not want to pay thousands of dollars for one, have found a real treasure in replica designer handbags. Here’s a quick guide to replica handbags and how they are taking the handbag market by storm.
Types of Replica Handbags
Whether it’s a replica Gucci handbag or a replica Chloe handbag, thousands of these items are being sold online and off. There are all types of replica handbags from a variety of famous designers. To name a few, there are Fendi replica handbags, replica Chanel handbags, replica Gucci handbags, Louis Vuitton replica handbags and many more! These are called "handbag knockoffs" because they are designed to look and feel just like the real thing.
Pricing for Replica Handbags
Don’t be misled into thinking that replica designer handbags are cheaply priced. On the contrary, they can still be expensive, just not as expensive as the real thing. For instance, a replica Gucci handbag might be priced between $200 and $300. That’s not pocket change by any means. However, authentic Gucci handbags are priced much higher, from $800 up. So, deciding to buy a replica handbag is often due to the major price differences.
Great for Extravagant Outings
Replica handbags are wonderful for extravagant outings such as black tie events, special dinner occasions, formal balls, proms, wholesale replica belts, weddings, ceremonies, banquets, etc. You can take a replica handbag along to appear just as stunning as you would with an authentic bag!
Replica Handbags as Gifts
Maybe you’d like to spend a few hundred dollars to buy a gift for your loved one. Maybe the gift is for your mother on Mother’s Day or for your sister or favorite aunt during the holidays. What woman wouldn’t adore a replica handbag? If you can’t buy an authentic handbag, buy a replica Chloe handbag or Fendi replica handbag as a gift. It will be a gift to remember!
Where to Find Replica Handbags
Finding replica handbags has never been easier. Now you can shop online to find all brands of replica designer handbags at affordable prices. Only be sure the website is actually offering true replicas. With an online retailer, you can shop from your own home and take time to compare different replica brands. One website alone might offer a variety of replica handbag brands such as replica Chanel handbags, Fendi replica handbags, replica Chloe handbags and many others.
Use the guide above along with your online resources to find the replica handbag that’s right for you!
